A secret 2016 Vatican consultation on the alleged apparitions at Medjugorje has reportedly been revealed. Of 33 participants, 21 judged the phenomena not supernatural, nine supported a supernatural explanation, and three said it had not been established.

The vote does not represent the Vatican’s current position. Today, the Church permits pilgrimages to Medjugorje and recognizes significant spiritual fruits while stopping short of declaring the alleged apparitions supernatural.
