The microbiome continues to fascinate me, as we will see in this video, a recent study shows how exposure to warm temperatures causes a shift in microbiota composition that results in the prevention on bone loss typically seen in mouse models of osteoporosis. Analysing this further, it was shown that the changes in the microbiome result in increased levels of spermidine which could be mediating the effect.
