To be perfectly honest, the matchmaker for the A6M3 is pretty damn fair cause at 4.0 you got a lot of good fodder from all nations, especially Russia, to keep you company in the 3.0 - 4.0 range. There is hardly any 4.3s or 4.7s, except maybe the Germans, so the only way to go is up at that point.
