In this premiere episode, a group of terrorists inadvertently breaks into a hazardous waste storage site, exposing barrels that contain the dormant remains of the original 1953 alien invaders. The resulting radiation neutralizes the bacteria that once killed them, awakening the aliens from their 35-year hibernation. These invaders, known as the Morthren, begin a silent infiltration by taking over human bodies as they launch a new genocidal war against an unsuspecting Earth.
