In this vlog, I drive from my home to London Gatwick airport. There I use the Gatwick Airport Valet Parking, which I got for a 10% discount through the Gatwick Airport app. Once safely parked, I meet up with my friend Gary C for check-in to Hampton by Hilton at London Gatwick North Terminal. There I surprise Gary by telling him we're staying at Animal Kingdom Lodge! We give you a full room tour of a standard twin room before grabbing dinner at Giraffe in the South Terminal. We head back to the room after we pick up some essentials from Marks and Spencer and a ride on the tram (with singing).
The next morning we check-in for our Virgin Atlantic Premium Economy flights. We utilise Gatwick Premium security (available for £5 per person if not included in your ticket) and check in to the No.1 Lounges Clubrooms. Our flight to Orlando International (MCO) was delightful. We bumped into Elizabeth, our favourite Virgin Atlantic air stewardess and enjoyed some delicious food. Upon arriving in Orlando we tried out the Minnie Van Airport Shuttle service. This was booked over the phone +1 407-WDW-PLAY (+1 407-939-7529) and cost $155 for up to 4 people. We provide a full review on whether the experience was really worth the money and show what the experience was like.
Checking in to Animal Kingdom Lodge, we give you a full room tour of a newly refurbished Jambo House two queen bed, Savannah view room. As we requested a room close to the lobby and on a high floor, we didn't end up with the best view in my opinion so I maybe wouldn't recommend those requests. However, the room was incredible and far beyond what Gary and I have come to expect on our Disney trips (thanks Ever After Holidays for the magic).
We then daringly headed out to Animal Kingdom! There we enjoy a ride on Navi River Journey, a quick service meal at Satuli Canteen (where-by I explain how to use the Disney Dining Plan a bit more), we have a quick ride on Kilimanjaro Safaris (bad idea) before retreating to Animal Kingdom Lodge and The Mara quick service for a snack (Orange Cream Bar and Mickey Bar).
