Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Orlando Resort is one of the world’s premier Halloween events, transforming Universal Studios Florida into a sprawling, nightmarish playground each autumn. First introduced in 1991, it has grown into a staple of the Halloween season, running on select nights from late August through early November. The 2025 event, known as HHN34, begins on 29 August and continues until 2 November, with an exclusive Premium Scream Night on 28 August. Guests can expect a mixture of licensed intellectual properties and original concepts, brought to life through haunted houses, scare zones, street experiences, and live shows, alongside themed food, drink, and merchandise.
This year features ten haunted houses, each meticulously designed to terrify. Among the most anticipated is Fallout, which transports guests into the post-apocalyptic wasteland of the beloved video game and Amazon series, populated by raiders, mutants, and the Brotherhood of Steel. Terrifier, based on the notorious horror franchise, presents a grotesque funhouse overseen by Art the Clown, where guests may even find themselves drenched in unsettling “blood”. Five Nights at Freddy’s brings its animatronic nightmares to life with creatures built by Jim Henson’s Creature Shop, while Jason Un1v3rse honours the legendary Friday the 13th slasher. WWE Presents: The Horrors of The Wyatt Sicks pays tribute to Bray Wyatt’s legacy, combining theatrical spectacle with a chilling haunt.
Alongside these intellectual properties, Universal has created five original haunted houses. El Artista: A Spanish Haunting invites visitors into the decaying mansion of a tormented 19th-century artist. Hatchet & Chains: Demon Bounty Hunters blends western grit with demonic horror. Dolls: Let’s Play Dead brings toy-like figures to sinister life. Grave of Flesh plunges guests into a grotesque nightmare of anatomical horror, while Gálkn: Monsters of the North draws on chilling folklore to conjure beasts of legend. Together, these houses balance cultural creativity, mythology, and raw terror with the spectacle of blockbuster properties.
The park’s streets are equally alive with fear, thanks to four scare zones. The Origins of Horror explores the roots of the genre, while Masquerade: Dance with Death hosts a twisted, murderous ball. The Cat Lady of Crooked Lane prowls the dark corners of the park with an unsettling presence, and Mutations: Toxic Twenties imagines a chemically scarred decade brought to life in grotesque form. Adding to the atmosphere are roaming street experiences like Mel’s Die-In Zombies and Club Horror, which bring scares directly to wandering guests.
Two live shows also form a key part of HHN34’s entertainment line-up. Nightmare Fuel: Circus of Decay dazzles with pyrotechnics, acrobatics, and darkly theatrical energy, while Haunt-O-Phonic: A Ghoulish Journey offers a more macabre musical spectacle.
