How do I even start about this video?
First of all, maybe, I'd like to dedicate it to one of my favourite vidders, Grable424. If you're reading this, I'm in love with your videos, especially the TWD ones. Your Rick&Carl vid is one of the best things I've ever seen, it's been a huge inspiration for me! So thank you for the incredible insight into their relationship and thank you for sharing your talent with all of us, letting us learn from you. :)
Now, to the video itself. It took me almost 2 weeks of day-to-day work. Wanted to give up mutiple times but the song was just too perfect for Carl, who's recently grown to become my favourite character.
I MEAN LOOK AT THAT CUPCAKE. Okay, stay cool Aneta. :D
4x09 was a game-changing episode for me. Something happened, what's never happened to me before while watching TV - I watched that kid struggle and saw myself in him. It was pretty hard to watch because it suddenly felt so personal, especially the scene where he's trying to wake up Rick and he doesn't wake up. I still remember pausing that scene and taking a few moments to prepare myself before playing it again. Since then, I don't even know how many times I watched that episode.
That's how it started, anyway. :D I connected with Carl. He's such a well-written character. I tried to show him in this video as well as I could, show how complex he is and how tragic his life has been so far.
There are definitely many ways to read this video. I can only hope that someone will notice the deeper meaning behind at least some scenes. It's all carefully thought-out. :)
A HUGE thank you goes to my dear Anja! Thank you for being so patient with me and our baby, so helpful and basically a lifesaver. It took us both so long but we did it. I wouldn't be here saying this if it wasn't for you. Love you, my unicorn! ^^

Merlin time!
Most of you probably dont remember me vidding Merlin anymore. Ancient times, it seems. I vidded this show for the last time in the very beginning of my vidding career. But whats kinda funny, it was to a song by the same band.
This is my entry for the first round of Vidding Is Creativity contest. The theme is Forgotten loves which basically means that we were supposed to make a general video using a show we love but rarely vid or never vidded before. I wasnt sure what show to use but I finally chose Merlin. I vidded it for the last time almost a year ago. And now Im obsessed with it again.
There are so many themes I would love to explore in this series. In this video I decided to focus on betrayal & revenge in the show. This quote in the beginning of it, the latest episode, a gif I found on tumblr and Rytinhahhs video were probably my main sources of inspiration. And the song of course! Its brilliant. Its been on my computer since forever (well, since 2009) and this felt like the right time to use it. A perfect choice.
Okay so I am extremely happy with how this turned out. I mean, I always have the idea in my head, a few images of how it should look. But this... it just incredible. And its true, I wasnt satisfied with my last video (I still got the most amazing feedback on it, thank you so much!) because I had my reasons not to be. But this is just a whole different case. Now, comparing this one to a Morgana video I made in February, I can see perfectly how much I improved and learned.
At first I wanted to put some overlays there or sth but then I just thought that theres no need for them. This is pretty powerful without them. And the movement is just amazing (yeah, modesty is my second name) so I didnt want to ruin it. I just feel like everything here is on its place, just like it should be. So its simple. Im not sure if its very creative but still, I feel like this is one of my best works, if not the best.
Im also super amazed byhow little time I needed to get this done. Considering, of course. And i absolutely love that it was supposed to be a general vid but theres Morgana everywhere so its pretty focused on her. xD
Now... Guess whos my new favourite character. xD I love Mordred so much but I hate that hes the one to kill Arthur because hes always been my favourite. Looking at the promotional pics and reading spoilers for upcoming episodes, I really feel like its not Mordred whos evil. Well, not really. And I already have a theory why all this happens. If its correct, Ill really be in Team Mordred during the final battle. I hate to say it but its true.
And 5x09 just broke my heart... Why is he so perfect?! THOSE. EYES.*.* I used to hate this character so much (the younger version, hated the storyline - I was like this episode is about druids, lets skip it) but now... And its not only because hes so pretty and adorable. I love Vlahos interpretation of Mordred. Its brilliant. I love him with all my heart (it was a very accurate title of the episode, I must say). And hes so clever, unlike some king...
Anyone shares my thoughts or love for Mordred? Be sure to contact me and we can be besties right away. ;D
No, seriously. I feel this urge to talk to someone about all the feels (general/merthur/merdred/ardred/mergana/arwen/armor/anything at all), feel free to pm me. I dont bite. At all. ;D
Also Id like to know if i have any Merlin subscribers? Show yourself, its worth it (some people can say). Were all a big family after all, a fandom that will never die.

Haha, yeah... so I dont really know what it is. But I made it through to the first round of TayMarieVideos Contest of Emotions and really didnt want to drop out. The theme for this round is happiness though. AND AS I HAVE NEVER MADE A HAPPY VIDEO IN MY LIFE, that was quite a challenge.
Its not a new fandom Ill be vidding or sth. Tumblr made me watch this actually. And, kill me, I actually enjoyed the show. Its so... nice and optimistic. Something different to what I usually watch. There is drama too ofc but its still pretty nice. And those skirts... ;D

Well, I really didnt want to watch this show. Like, really. Now I dont understand why because after finally watching it theres only one thing I can say about it: HOLY SHIT ITS FREAKIN PERFECT. Im obsessed with it. Im soo looking forward to the finale tonight, Ill definately be watching streaming even though its at 4 in the morning. :D

I cant believe its finally finished! Honestly couldnt be more proud of how this collab turned out.
The song was incredibly fun to edit, even though it;s been vidded a lot already so it was definitely a challenge. It required a more artistic approach and some serious out-of-the-box thinking which made it very interesting to explore.

This is my entry for the Twenty Fandoms Contest. Ths copule was in my top 5 and I thought theyd be a perfect example of a dynamic couple. Theyve really grown when theyd fallen in love with each other. At the eginning of the series, Simon was a shy weird kid and Alisha didnt give a crap about anyone, and she couldnt really love. They both changed. Thats what I wanted to show.
