WORLD WIDE KNIT IN PUBLIC DAY
June 12th is World Wide Knit In Public Day! (WWKIPD)
The International knitting community, along with knitters in Stoughton, WI and our sister country of Norway - will gather for a day of knitting and fellowship. We'll be taking over Stoughton's Rotary Park from 8 am - 3 pm on June 12!
Please join us! - and bring a lawn chair and your knitting!
WALK & KNIT COMPETITION
Spry Whimsy and Stoughton, Wisconsin is excited to host a Knit Story's first Walk & Knit location outside of Norway, at Rotary Park on the morning of June 12th.
Registered participants will knit as many rows as they can in 10 minutes while walking a minimum of 500 meters (that's about 1/3 of a mile). At the end of the 10 minutes, everyone stops - and knitting samples are turned in to the judges.
Each participant receives points for the number of rows completed. Points are reduced for any mistakes. The individuals with the most points win prizes.
In addition to our local prize, we’ll be competing against folks from over 30 locations around Norway. At 1pm Central time, the group in Norway will go LIVE on Facebook to announce the international winner!
