This is a build that I've wanted to do for a while, a VTOL Warbird. I used the Parkzone Wildcat as the starting point, and added race quad motors and flight controller. I wanted to make it look like something that would have been put together as an experiment at the time, so I added little plastic radial engines and made the motor mounts look like truss elements. The quad throttle is on the throttle stick, and the airplane throttle is on the left slider on my transmitter. The transmitter is bound to both the airplane and quad receivers. Transitioning between vertical and horizontal flight is just a matter of ramping up one throttle and ramping down the other. If there's interest in a how-it-works video, let me know and I'll put something up.
Now I really want to make a VTOL EDF...
As with all my builds, this is strictly for fun. I do not intend to sell any sort of kit based on this project, although I will be glad to answer questions about the build, and help anyone who is interested create their own. Do not upload my content as your own, and please provide proper attribution if you are sharing it. Build and fly at your own risk and in accordance with your local regulations. Fly smart, fly safe
