**old remix, i made it originally in early 2018, it's a bit repetitive, but i found this recently, edited a bit and thought: drawn to life fans could probably use all the content they can get sdjkhfljkdahjkahd
i can't believe it took me over ten years to release anything related to drawn to life . . . i had a mini obsession with this game (and particularly, the story/characters/music) all the back in elementary school. the endings to both of these games really got to me!!!!!!!!!!!! i remember trying to transcribe 'real life,' the ending theme of the second game (still know all the lyrics), on piano back then lol. i also remember sending a hand-written letter to "the creators of drawn to life" (no return address) asking for a sequel to 2 (i googled it: we got one in 2020, it worked!!!! *sees metacritic score* well, *sees how the developers want to remake the first two games as well as create a huge expansive sequel but it depends on the sales of the 2020 game with that metacritic score* ohhhhhhhhh . . . . . . . . ). well, at least the first two games still exist~
the soundtrack really holds up today! david j franco has a knack for catchy melodies, and he uses super cute sound palletes . . . i think the soundtrack is why D2L has always stuck with me, it really emphasized emotion so well. wilfre's theme was one of my first "i'm obsessed with this video game's final boss theme" moments and i remember scouring the internet at that time for cool remixes of his battle theme . . . there weren't really any . . . and this one's not too polished either . . . but: it's something! i mayyyyyyyyyy revisit this theme someday? definitely not anytime soon. ultimately, i wish i'd approached it a bit differently. i never uploaded it when it was initially done because i wasn't sure if i'd translated the idea i wanted to convey (older/90s ish cheesy euro dance) as accurately as i wanted. i think i could do a much better job these days, but i don't have the files for this remix anymore . . . and i thought it would be better to post than not, you know. it can't go on stores or anything (no DtL OST releases anywhere), but still: enjoy!!! this remix also uses the drawing theme from DtL 1/2, i think it's a really nice melody. :D
side note: the gif in the video uses wilfre's official art from DtL 1, but i can't for the life of me find who made the gif. if anyone knows, i'll credit them!
