VS. Gradius 10 Million+ point run! The actual final score was like 10.5 million if you count the rollover but the hi score counter stops at 9999990.

VS. Gradius is a port of the Famicom/NES Gradius to the Nintendo VS. Arcade System, apparently, this predates the actual release to the NES (but not the Famicom). So this was, in fact, the first time Americans could play any version of Gradius, arcade or otherwise.
I had some pretty scary deaths in the stage 7 fortress a few times that I thought might end the run. I didn't practice any recoveries whatsoever so I had to try and figure it and hotshot dodge stuff on the spot.
Pretty happy to have this done as its been a goal of mine ever since I played the NES version a long time ago.
