I know, I know. Despite losing Port Dundas in 2010, Glasgow and whisky making has been on the rise once more for at least a decade. We know this because Glasgow Distillery, founded in 2015, have just released their first ten year old. It may have been a celebratory single cask and only 230 bottles, but it's a milestone nonetheless.
With another Glaswegian distillery - Clydeside - located much closer to the centre since 2017, we can say that whisky making in Glasgow is well and truly back. Now that it's successfully hit ten years in its reawakening, it's time to host a vPub to mark it.
Let's look at what was always here - in and around greater Glasgow - and enjoy it alongside what's new and available today to celebrate a very positive thing to emerge from malt whisky's renaissance.
And that afore-mentioned ten year old? Yeah, let's open that too.
