I've been really digging VOLA lately and writing a lot of music with vocals, so I thought it would be cool to cover a song of theirs. This song's really cool: I like the weird vocal melody over the Meshuggah riff, the chorus melody is very catchy, and the riffs do be heavy.
My favorite thing about the song is how the Meshuggah riff is 11 bars long and doesn't truncate in the beginning (until the chorus), but when it comes back at the end it does that classic Meshuggah truncation thing. I don't know if I described that well, hopefully you get what I'm saying. It makes it so that at first glance, the riff seems more complicated than it actually is, but when it comes back later in the song you understand why that's the case.
Oh yeah, so this is my first time doing a full vocal cover on here, that's pretty cool! I've been trying to get better at singing over the last year or so and I think I'm starting to like what I can do with my voice. I also just barely learned how to scream a little bit. It's not great yet, but it was really cool learning how to make some proper screams without causing any pain!

![Xenogears - Babel Tower (Premonition) - Cover [VGMC] [Music Videos]
This isnt the most interesting remix for a music video, but I just felt like it would be cool to experiment with music videos again. Personally, I love the soundtrack for Xenogears and when I think of Xenogears, one of the first things I think of is this track and Babel Tower itself. I know a lot of people REALLY despised that area of the game, but I think it worked really well, even though the platforming shouldnt have been so annoying. Also, I apologize for the cheesy editing, I was just experimenting with some things.
