Please Be Warned!
This video shows an unlockable part of Void Stranger, the newest game from System Erasure, which does not match the regular gameplay of Void Stranger, and as such should be considered a SPOILER for those who wish to enter it blind. I've hopefully put enough buffers in to counteract autoplay stuff and accidental click things; after that though, please consider yourself:
• Suitably Warned!
And for those wanting to watch, be similarly warned: this video has some flashing aspects to it that might be uncomfortable to some. With this said, for those who know what to expect, or perhaps do not care for spoilers and want to see what all this text is leading up to? Read on...
Void Stranger has a bonus unlockable game mode, which allows players to replay the final sequence of the game as a score-attack mode, somewhat similar to the devs' previous game, ZeroRanger. Here you have two challenges - beat the top score on the leaderboard for the base bonus game, and then beat IF Mode. This video showcases IF mode - the main feature being FAR more bullets on screen, many of which can only be destroyed by blowing up a power-up item. Gameplay is mostly the same, but the end of the IF Mode also comes with extras not seen in the standard bonus game, that being an extra boss!
I had spent most of a Saturday practicing this boss, and despite only having one solid no-MUTEKI clear, I felt it was time to give the full run a go, which I decided to record because it felt like it would be fun to do!
It turns out I would not clear the mode this time, but I felt that the resulting Game Over was funny enough to share. Which is why I've shared this with all of you, as the first thing I post after nearly twenty-one weeks of silence.
If you enjoy this video, consider looking into Void Stranger! It's mostly a puzzle game of the "sokoban" variety, but as you can see from this video... there's a little more going on. It's well worth the effort in my opinion, but then I am provably odd with my game tastes 😅

This was recorded like... two days after the online beta went live lol. Were joined by Flipmeiser for a while (playing Margaret Tunnel) before he takes a break after we die at 6-3. If you like unexpected crush-traps and folks learning about then-new mechanics (eg pitchers mitt) then you are in luck! Spelunky 2 Online with Werbad! [15/12/2022 EDIT: Seems Youtubes decided this stuff is popular enough that adverts need to be stapled to them. I do not monetise my videos, and have no control over adverts being placed on my videos as per Youtubes whims; I apologise to folks who are unable to circumvent these things for one reason or another. If you have a problem with this, my suggestion would involve shaking your fists to the heavens and cursing out Square Enix.]
A big fat FATE from the final zone of the game, as found on Lich! Theres no direct spoilers, but if youve not reached the proper final zone of the game, the backdrop will give you a hint of what to expect - watch with caution!
This is also the big beastie yall saw in the Shadowbringers Benchmark - Twintania from FFV! Though since some other jerks squatting on their name, theyve gone with a new prefix to make it known as the ORIGINAL Tania.
Actually SPAWNING the beggar is a lil rough - youve got to complete a FATE chain starting with an Ondo examining footprints, and it sorta follows on from there for a half-dozen encounters. Clearing the final FATE nets you 4-6 of Archaeotanias Horns, which can be traded for either a frog outfit (5 and 7 for the head and body, respectively) or a Tinkers Bell minion (6 horns), the latter being a lil in-joke based on its original appearance.
