Voices of Australian Farmers: A Love Story premiered at the Adelaide Fringe Festival on February 20, bringing an intimate evening of unscripted farmer storytelling, live music, and tasting moments to the stage.
Presented by Food Tank in partnership with OzHarvest, Aquna Murray Cod, Woolworths, and the Australian Conservation Foundation, the event celebrated the deep connection between farmers, land, soil, and community. Hosted by actress and regenerative farmer Rachel Ward, the evening invited audiences into a warm and immersive experience where farmers shared their stories in their own words, accompanied by music and curated tasting moments that brought each story to life.
Farmer storytellers included Rachel Ward; Hannah Greenshields, co-founder of The Food Farm on the NSW Central Coast; Derek Walker, Ngarrindjeri Elder and commercial fisher from South Australia; Georgia Beattie, CEO and Managing Director of Bulla Park organic mushroom farm; Matt Ryan, founder of Aquna Murray Cod; and Matthew Haggerty, regenerative farmer and director of Natural Intelligence Farming in Western Australia.
Fresh off the sold-out success of A Night Honoring Our Farmers during Climate Week NYC, Food Tank brought this new storytelling experience to Adelaide as a world premiere performance at The Garage International @ Dom Polski.
