Looks like I won't be able to finish all the covers I wanted to over Reading Week, considering it's already half over before I got my first one done -__- At any rate, here's the first one...

When I first heard this song a long time ago, I didn't really care much for it. Len's voice never particularly appealed to me (sorry to all his fangirls), nor did Halyosy's mediocre tuning job. But sure enough, I was inspired to do a cover after hearing Clear's (among others) amazing rendition :) As of now, this song is definitely one of my favorites! Guess I just couldn't appreciate the fantastic melodies and lyrics before when Len was singing XD

I think this is my first time harmonizing with three voices, and it was most definitely a challenge, given the clarinet's slightly inconsistent tuning. I ended up recording all the voices multiple times until I found a decently balanced mix, but even then there's a few areas with really noticeable intonation problems =| But I think that when the intonation works out, it really sounds quite beautiful ^_^

And I must say, that solo...what a climactic monster XD I can't think of a better sounding guitar solo in ANY Vocaloid song. It's actually a lot easier than it sounds, and I was quite surprised at how quickly I picked it up. It's not 100% clean, but I figured it was close enough. As you can probably tell from the video, I had a lot of fun with this solo :D
