It's been 3 weeks since I started this journey. I'm down 10.7 pounds and officially under a BMI of 25 (out of the overweight category). I'm not a huge fan of using BMI (in certain situations; obviously a BMI of 14 or a BMI of 80 signal that something is wrong) but I'm celebrating every possible win to keep myself motivated.
A short one this week. This is the week that I started feeling depleted and sore, and where I had to make a decision to pace myself in order to avoid a neck flareup. It is so frustrating to have once felt almost invincible and then had to later admit physical limitations after an injury.
I also hit a weight plateau and made the decision to refeed and rest. I know that my body doesn't defy the laws of thermodynamics, but I do have to be patient and honor the process. By the end of the week, good ol' body pulled though for me, and I'm finally out of the "overweight" category and in a healthy BMI range (if you believe in BMI).
I had an acne flareup this week and while some people may chalk this up to "detoxing" at various points in my weight loss journey, I have a hunch that I just need to launder my sleep mask and pillowcase more often and stop sleeping in makeup. (Let's not discuss how old my foundation actually is!)
