At the end of 2025 I travelled to Oaxaca, Mexico and met some of the families behind Del Maguey’s Single Village mezcal expressions.
Luis Carlos in Santa Catarina Minas, making Minero. Faustino and Maximino in San Baltazar Chichicápam, making Chichicapa. Rogelio in the mountains, making Tobalá.
Traditional methods, passed down through generations. Each village, each family, each palenque creates something completely unique.
This is what 30 years of Single Village Mezcal is about - honoring the people and places behind every sip.
It was an amazing experience being able to meet the mezcaleros behind the liquid and to have shared this trip with some great people.
