Join us for a brilliant day out in Oxfordshire as we head to Diddly Squat Farm Shop, made famous by Clarkson’s Farm, to pick up some delicious picnic goodies before making our way to the stunning Blenheim Palace! 🐄🥪🏰
We stocked up at Diddly Squat before heading over to Blenheim, where we found the perfect spot to enjoy our picnic surrounded by the beautiful Palace gardens. Diddly Squat Farm Shop is based on Chipping Norton Road and sells a range of farm-shop favourites, including preserves, snacks, drinks and plenty of Diddly Squat merchandise. (Diddly Squat Farm Shop)
Then it was time to explore everything Blenheim Palace had to offer. We wandered through the spectacular gardens, enjoyed our picnic and checked out the brand-new Dinosaurs Are Forever exhibition! 🦖
Running from 10 August to 1 November 2026, Dinosaurs Are Forever features five enormous Megalosaurus skeleton sculptures created by artist Jay Jay Burridge in partnership with the University of Oxford’s Museum of Natural History. The exhibition celebrates Megalosaurus — the first dinosaur ever to be scientifically named — which was discovered right here in Oxfordshire in 1824. 🦴🦖 (Blenheim Palace)
We also jumped aboard Winston the miniature railway and travelled between the Palace and the Walled Garden before heading towards the Marlborough Maze — a two-mile maze made from yew trees. 🌳🚂
