Winter Work on Fairground Game! Makeover including Painting & Repair Slothy Vlogs 2024-03-17 | WE GO BEHIND THE SCENES to what Simon has been up to recently ... Painting a fairground joint/Game isn't as easy as it seems, Well today we checked in on Simon who's recently purchased a joint to start his showmen adventure, Simon was off last year getting things into place to travel the south coast as a showmen and he's almost ready to pull out for 2024 with his new "Ball in a bucket" and "Stick the card" games respectively.Simon has really faced all sorts of hurdles but has overcome them and is now on the final straight to becoming a traveling showmen and we wish him the best of luck, In this vlog we had a little look at the behind the scenes and also did a bit of painting ourselves... a bit! This is a cheaper alternative to some of the larger scale events and has everything you need including a bar, ICE Skating, Food and drink.. Well, Hayling island and the seaside amusement park "Funland" who every year put on fright nights and it has two mazes, a brilliant actor led Ghost Train experience and unlimited riding all included in the cost of entry, This year the new theatre of screams maze really stood out for its attention to detail and Beautiful set design, The Freak show was also back and much improved and more of a family friendly maze and very busy with strobe lighting and lots going on, The Ghost train blew my mind with its stunning set pieces, Actor interactions and well thought out route, they've utilised the space really well. All the above plus other little touches including the unlimited riding wristband makes Finland a place NOT to be over looked on Halloween. A day after returning from Goose we was on the road again and yet another hotel to bring you some content. It was an absolute pleasure to bring Aaron here for his first ever visit and also meet up with some friends in @markmegafobialewis1214 and Smiler Jones who both are technically theme park .... Yep! Great guys and they really made the visit special. Where to start on this one... just sit back and enjoy really, it's loud and it's fun! Just take in the atmosphere and banter of course and please consider this for next year. Thank you βΊοΈ The term βMopsβ is a local area name for the Statute hiring fairs which became established as a result of the Black Death, and subsequent Statute of Labourers of 1351. This sought to control the wages, and conditions of employment, of the agricultural labours and associated occupations. A Statute fair could be held at any town that had local Justices who were empowered to set an annual local wage. Statute fairs were more casually organised than the Charter fairs, and did not necessarily pay any rental to the town. The Mops at Tewkesbury were held on the Wednesdays of the week preceding, and following, that in which the Michaelmas Fair was held. Pewsey Carnival Fun Fair Vlog - September 2023 Back with a bang π₯ Slothy Vlogs 2023-09-23 | Welcome back to the Vlog, We visited Pewsey Carnival for the Fun Fair with loads of rides and attractions including returning favourites like Aaron Phillips with the Round up! I remember doing this ground in 2017 and won a goldfish! Yeah located in the Wiltshire county side is the town/Village of Pewsey and they still have a rare Carnival here in the Uk and that means the Fun fair roll into town! Unfortunately a few machines pulled out last minute meaning the line up wasn't as strong as planned but grounds conditions didn't help, The line up in my opinion still very good with Leigh Danters Twist, Toboggan, Waltzer & Dodgem and Russett's Fun house & Ghost train.
