Central Saloon, located in Pioneer Square, is Seattle's oldest bar, and is considered the birthplace of grunge. Soundgarden, Nirvana, Mother Love Bone, and many bands played here. As a matter of fact, Nirvana played their first show in Seattle here (and I heard the crowd of 10-15 people wasn't that impressed!)

The venue is well preserved and has a great display of show flyers. It was awesome to visit while it was quiet and I could take pictures and videos, but I'd love to come back and see a show here next time I'm in the area.

They had a drink called the Rusty Cage, with Jack Daniel's, ginger ale, cardamom bitters, and orange. Of course I had to pay tribute to Chris Cornell! We also grabbed a "ooo Foxy Lady" before heading out.
