What can you really experience in one summer day in Lebanon? 🇱🇧
This journey is a reminder that Lebanon is much more than a destination — it’s a country of incredible landscapes, ancient towns, hidden history, unforgettable food, and people who never stop welcoming you.
We start early in Amioun, discovering its old stone houses and centuries of history, before taking the beautiful coastal road south. From Chekka and Hamat to Batroun, we stop for breathtaking Mediterranean views, explore forgotten railway tunnels and traces of Lebanon’s historic train network, and of course enjoy some traditional Lebanese ice cream and lemonade.
The road continues through Tabarja and Antelias, where we discover the new Spinneys experience, explore the supermarket and its street-food concepts, and taste everything from sushi and burgers to pizza.
But the day is far from over!
Instead of taking the usual highway, we climb through Lebanon’s mountains, passing Broummana, Dhour El Choueir, Mrouj, Majdel Tarchich and Tarchich, stopping at a mountain spring before descending into the Bekaa Valley.
Our final destination: Zahle ❤️
We walk through its beautifully restored old souk, discover traditional saj, visit Berdawni, taste authentic Lebanese ice cream, and finish with two Zahle classics: Kaak bi Haleeb and Ors bi Semneh.
What was supposed to be a simple drive becomes an entire day of discoveries.
From the Mediterranean Sea to the mountains and the Bekaa Valley, this is Lebanon in one day: history, food, nature, villages, unexpected encounters, and hidden gems everywhere you look.
🇱🇧 Amioun → Chekka → Hamat → Batroun → Tabarja → Antelias → Mount Lebanon → Tarchich → Zahle
This is why I keep saying: get in the car, leave the highway, take the small roads, stop in the villages, talk to people, taste something new and discover Lebanon.
There is always something beautiful waiting around the next corner.
