So this one's a bit out of left field, i will admit. However, AVGN II is a really fun game with some really sweet tracks despite its use of free soundfonts off the internet and muddy sound mixing. Barring that though, the entire soundtrack is definitely worth a listen, especially this track, used for the final few levels. For something i had to transcribe multiple parts of by ear, it was a really fun song to cover.
This song is effing long, too...one loop is 2:18. However, despite running low on SC upload time, i figured it best to loop it twice just like every other song i've done. The actual .0CC file is a hefty 88 frames long since i decided to track the song at Speed 1 with a tempo of 100BPM (the original song is 300 BPM).

[thanks for 20k views!!!!!] Ive had his one in the works for a while, actually; it just took me forever to actually sit down and finish it. Part of that was due to the length of a single loop (about 1:27) but part of it was also due to me being lazy.
While editing i also noticed the effects column for the Sawtooth channel got cut off...thats not too big of a deal though. Just the standard P7E detuning effect and a shitload of G01 effects for that staccato feel.

Anyway, f you havent already, i highly suggest you listen to the music tracks from Sonic 3&Ks multiplayer zones. Its a shame such awesome tunes werent front and center in the main campaign, but the fact they exist at all is pretty rad. So i decided to cover one. Who knows, Chrome Gadget is a possibility...perhaps in the future.

My personal favorite version of Vampire Killer, aside from the X68000 version. Although i omitted the Clockwork portion from my cover since i didnt think it meshed well with the rest of the song. I think the new drum samples more than make up for that though.

Wow, two uploads in one week. Thats new. Regardless, i finished this in around 4 hours, and im really happy with how it turned out. Harmony of Dissonances soundtrack is highly underrated.

This was really fun to cover, something i didnt expect when i started. Sonic 3 has a lot of songs that are great but dont seem fun to cover, yet obviously this is an exception. I went all-out with the samples and tried to do as much as i could within the restrictions, and i think it turned out well.
However, NSFPlay didnt seem to like all the Gxx commands i used for the steel drum so i had to use 0CC-FamiTrackers built-in Export WAV function to export the song, which meant doing a fade-out would be annoying. Instead, i simply added an extra ending measure and i think that works well enough. No idea why NSFPlay was having a fit.

With the release of the Nov. 1993 Proto for Sonic 3, the biggest surprise for me was the fact that the Sonic & Knuckles Collection versions of the tracks for Carnival Night, Ice Cap, and Launch Base were indeed the original ones. I never really liked the S&KC versions, but the original Genesis versions are much more my thing (except for Ice Cap but whatever). So i figured id cover whats probably my favorite of the Proto tracks: this one.
I started this last year (haha) and only now got around to finishing it, but im really glad with how it turned out. With 2020 now in full swing and WW3 on the horizon, im hoping to return to Castlevania covers at some point, alongside more S3&K stuff as per usual before the world ends.

Well, this is my second time covering this track, and i think my practice over the past months really shows here. Its a pretty simple track, but my old cover isnt really what i would call...optimized. An unwillingness to break from tradition makes it sound sloppy in comparison. This one, however, im proud of. Not as extravagant as Fire Man, but the song is so good on its own that i didnt feel the need to go too over-the-top.
Meanwhile, ive finally upgraded from Bandicam (free edition cuz im a broke bitch lmao) + Windows Movie Maker to OBS + OpenShot, and theyre MUCH better for making and editing videos respectively. I really like how this vid turned out; i hope you like it too!

So i havent uploaded to YT in a while, and i dont really have a good excuse. Im just lazy, and exporting a .wav file and uploading it to SoundCloud is way easier than rendering a video. So i rendered six videos and im releasing them all tonight, so that YouTube channel is up-to-date with my Soundcloud.
So id been playing through Circle of the Moon recently and wanted to cover a track from it. I also decided to use the huge N163 slap bass waveforms from VinylCheeses Yogurt Yard cover, which i really like.
