On 24 March 2003, a huge sand storm was moving over Southern Iraq and on towards the Persian Gulf. A flight of four F-16s from the 77th Fighter Squadron 'The Gamblers' was flying a SEAD mission near Nasiriyah when an urgent CAS requirement came over the radio. A Marine unit got cut off and was in danger of being over-run by Iraqi forces. Two other flights of fighters failed to assist them due to low visibility. Dan 'Two Dogs' Hampton faces similar issues and despite being bingo fuel and having no other weapon against the Iraqi threat other than his 20mm gun, he couldn't just abandon the Marines.
