Javaria builds strong relationships with her clients, many of whom she sees on a weekly basis. But that doesn’t stop some from making inappropriate comments about her body and race, sometimes even touching her body without consent. Because most of these experiences have not been physical assaults, she has previously been hesitant to speak up.
But verbal harassment is still violence – and it’s not okay.
