These ten pieces are the product of the three months I have been playing the bass viola da gamba, my first bowed instrument.
A branle was originally a French peasant dance for which numerous instrumental compositions appeared in the Renaissance. The present pieces are inspired by historical compositions, primarily for the lute and Renaissance guitar.
