Mystery viewer gift, no idea what's in the black box. Recently I received a gift from one of my subscribers Warwick Shepherd from BRT Flags and Aussie Benchrests.

This is a vintage analogue tachometer made in Germany by Record back in May, 1956. Big thank you to @mftmachining for informing me on how to identify the month and year and where to find it.
