Lost Futures | Vinland Saga: Violence Done Right | Lost Futures @LostFutures1 | Uploaded June 2022 | Updated October 2024, 1 hour ago.
Lost enters the Viking world of Makoto Yukimura's Vinland Saga (which was first published in 2005) to explore violence, redemption and alternative futures.
Makoto Yukimura successfully created a Viking world where violence is the norm, but unlike his peers he has stood against the violence and has challenged societies that are ruled by War, Slavery and Death. However, his imagination is also an inspiration, as he points to Vinland and is now trying to create a society (in his manga) that is not only free of violence, war and slavery, but also a haven for those who were shunned in Viking society.
