Here is an intermediate arrangement of Vincent. I demonstrate the song first and then I break down the chords/voicings I am using.
This lesson demonstrates how you can play this song in it's original pitch without going up an octave. The chord voices can become interesting in some areas. You may also use your own finger picking patterns with the basic chord voicings found in most music books. If you really want to dive into more advanced finger picking then you can check out my availabe publications on my website at www.raytutaj.com.
I hope you get something out of this lesson/demonstration.
This tune is by DOn McLean and is such a beautiful [iece of music. Hope you will listen to the original and relax by it.
Well, this pandemic, the isolation and lack of social interaction has really taken it's toll on me and so amny others. So, all I could do was turn to my guitar, phone conversations with close friends, and my photography. Hopefully all this will be completely over soon. But, it's still a good idea to wear masks in some situations even without a pandemic. I have wished I would have had one on during many close social interactions. I still can't figure out why some people feel they need to be 2 ft away from your face when talking to ya. I can hear them fine at 10 ft.
Well, I gotta run. I'm getting older and barely any wiser. I'm restless and anxious as ever. I finally got started on a new album of songs I have written during the past year. It's a lot of work but I must finsih it for myself and anyone who cares to listen.
All the best to my close supporters who take the time to listen. Peace.
