Here is an initial report on an accident that happened yesterday, 7/18/2026, on the Brook Fire, east of Redding, California. 7 helitack crewmembers were trapped by the fire and suffered minor burns when the fire burned through their area. They firefighters were treated for their injuries in Redding and released the same night.
