More than 100 farmers in China's central Hunan province have signed a death pact, to protect their farmland from being illegally sold by local officials.
Forced evictions are common in China, and are often done in collusion between officials and property managers. Sometimes these turn violent. These farmers believe officials would use "mafia-like" tactics to take their land, so they've come together and vowed to defend their livelihood together.
