We talk to accomplished Kansas City filmmaker and director of photography DeVonte Brown about his new film "VIE" and his other eye-opening short "Now What?" Both films offer unique perspectives on what it's like to be an African American today. As Devonte says, "The biggest thing any filmmaker can do is telling a story that shows their perspective, and people of color's perspectives are going to vary more than any other demographic, I think."
