I used Unity to create a very, very simple scene involving a cube that rotates (because camera controls) and a particle emitter that collided slightly weirdly (the hit box / collision mesh was inside the model texture)... Also, directional lighting is a thing! I'm preparing for a more segmented approach to my videos, so watch out for more complex things with multiple angles to them.

Video edits include: [Windows Movie Maker] ripple/wave\rotate, threshold (visual filter), hue cycle; [Virtual Dub] motion blurring, soft focus and the start is way too pixellated \ 'square~y' than I wanted.
