The charming cover of this Victorian Photo Album opens to a surprise. The photos and cabinet cards come with their own soundtrack!. Sound On! The music box, a polyphon, is hidden in the back of the album. It plays an eery, bittersweet accompaniment as you turn the pages. Subjects range from family photos to cabinet cards of known performers like strongman George Levasseur of the Ringling Brothers and Canadian soprano Dame Emma Albani. Change the disc gives you the choice of six different songs. MSG 1336, McGill Rare Books and Special Collections.
