ABOUT THIS VIDEO
Welcome back to flomotion! In today’s deep dive, we are pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in modern filmmaking by combining the power of Generative AI with professional VFX workflows in After Effects.
The story behind this project started simple: my triplet brothers and I needed a music video. But "simple" quickly turned into "total raccoon-induced chaos." We’re talking about a rehearsal room, a rising tide of red water (Sangria style), and a party of raccoons that eventually leads to a cinematic explosion.
To bring this fever dream to life, I utilized Higgsfield.ai, a powerhouse platform that integrates world-class models like Kling, Veo3, Sora, Hailuo, and Wan. In this tutorial, I’m pulling back the curtain on three distinct AI levels to show you how to maintain art direction and quality without losing control to the "AI slot machine."
WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
🚀 LEVEL 1: Reality Meets AI (Video-to-Video) I’ll show you how we took raw, dry footage of us rocking out in a rehearsal room and transformed it into a liquid, red subaquatic world. We’ll explore the "Video Edit" tools in Higgsfield, specifically using Kling Motion Control to ensure our performance stayed intact while the environment morphed around us.
🤖 LEVEL 2: 100% AI-Generated Scenes Sometimes you need shots that simply don’t exist in reality. I’ll walk you through my "Hero Image" workflow using Nano Banana Pro. By generating high-quality stills first and then using the Start and End Frame features in Cinema Studio, we get consistent, high-fidelity AI characters—like our shocked and terrified party raccoons—rather than random flickering animations.
🌍 LEVEL 3: Digital World Building (Hybrid Workflow) This is where it gets advanced. I’ll show you how to build a digital environment from scratch and "bake" real humans into it. By using up to 14 reference images in Nano Banana, I was able to put my brothers and me into a gritty, cinematic barn scene that only existed in my imagination.
⚡ THE PRO SECRET: Motion Control & Digital Puppetry The "Sahnehäubchen" (the cherry on top). I’ll demonstrate how to use your own facial expressions as a Motion Reference to drive the performance of an AI character. It’s like high-end performance capture but done entirely within the Higgsfield ecosystem.
THE TECH STACK
Platform: Higgsfield.ai
Models: Kling (Motion Control & Video Edit), Veo3, Sora, Nano Banana, Hailuo Seedance, Wan.
Post-Production: Adobe After Effects
VFX Techniques: Keying, Rotoscoping, Displacement Maps, Chromatic Aberration, and Custom Light Rays.
WHY AI + POST-PRODUCTION?
The goal isn't to let AI do all the work—it’s to use AI as a tool for Art Direction. By layering AI-generated elements with classic VFX (like green screen raccoons I generated myself!), we can achieve a professional, cinematic look that would have cost a fortune in practical effects.
