Simple rail transport system to ride a minecart vertically up or down. Building it isn't very complicated - you can see the 4x4 block design in the video. It just takes resources - some redstone and lots of gold and iron. It could be improved by making it go in a loop, so that people can't collide in the middle if someone is going down when you are going up.

Ladder Climb - 44 seconds
Skylift Up - 34 seconds
Skylift Down - 34 seconds
