Before every show I verify the phase compatibility of all of the speakers I'll be using. Often the Main and Front-Fill do not match through their entire operating range. Although this could be solved with an all-pass filter or similar solution, most of the amps and output processors I run into do not include them so my only solution is to isolate the problem to the high end or low end. This will still save me a lot of time in the field tomorrow because I know what to expect.
This is a clip from last week's workshop in Minneapolis called Build a Library of Actionable Data w/Tracebook. I do have a recording of it, but the audio didn't turn out that great. If you're still interested in it, send me a message. It's not recommended to try to be the event producer, event tech, and talent. Something will always go wrong. ;)

![Can you use smaller arrays in immersive sound design?
The answer is yes.
Consider the Fender Twin Reverb. It does only one thing: reproduce the guitar, and it can ruin the experience for everybody because itโs so freakinโ loud. So how do those two twelve-inch speakers out-do our whole $100,000 PA? Itโs an object device that only streams a single channel, while [the sound system] is reproducing 32 channels or something like that.
