I spotted a version of this song posted on FaceBook a couple of weeks ago performed by The Corrie Folk Trio and Paddie Bell. I don't know how this one passed me by especially since I own the LP it came from, but here goes with my own version played on the autoharp.

Having uploaded The Mighty Quinn a couple of days ago, I am uploading another Manfred Mann song today with Do Wah Diddiy Diddy.
Wikipedia has the following information about this song:
Do Wah Diddy Diddy is a song written by Jeff Barry and Ellie Greenwich and originally recorded in 1963, as Do-Wah-Diddy, by the American vocal group the Exciters. Cash Box described the Exciters version as a sparkling rocker that bubbles over with coin-catching enthusiasm and said that the great lead job is backed by a fabulous instrumental arrangement.[5] It was made internationally famous by the British band Manfred Mann and covered by Fun Factory in 1995.
I performed this one as my second offering at the monthly sing-around at the sheltered accommodation at which I live and have been organizing such events for fourteen years now. Guitar: Do Wah Diddy Diddy (Including lyrics and chords)](https://i.ytimg.com/vi/q8EITfo7ydc/mqdefault.jpg)
