Cramorant walked around a corner and lost 60% of his health.. Although to be fair he can do the exact same thing to me.
He was getting a bunch of kills early top but the XP you get from opponents is based on their level so early kills doesn't make a huge difference, just make sure you get the levels back quick if your the one dying. Venusaur is pretty slow to start since his Special Attack increases exponentially once he fully evolves, but once he does he can completely turn the tide with a few well placed projectiles.
