Roxanna Panufnik, daughter of composer Andrzej Panufnik, makes music of great heart and rich spirituality, influenced by diverse ethnic traditions. She came to prominence as a choral composer but has since excelled in opera, large orchestra and multiple choirs.

Her music, twinned with that of John Tavener, is the focus of Prayer of the Heart - a concert by the Gesualdo Six and the Brodsky Quartet.
