Maybe it's because all the critics said it was so bad that I had low expectations from the get go, but I didn't think Venom was all that bad. While the script is sloppy, action is more predictable and a lot of the characters are forgettable, Venom does have a lot of redeeming values. Tom Hardy gives a great performance as Brock. The computer graphics look very good. The camera works is terrific and by and large the comedy between Brock and Venom is really good. While the story is self contained and doesn't fit into the larger Marvel Cinematic Universe this movie is still leaps and bounds of all three of the Fantastic Four movies, Green Lantern and Hulk. You probably won't buy it but it's still a fun watch.
