Venla Mathlein is a lawyer and president of the Finnish Animal Rights Law Society, where she has been active in political advocacy, legal education, and public engagement. She is also a doctoral researcher in animal and consumer law at the University of Turku and coordinates introductory animal law courses at Åbo Akademi University.
