Vegas Virgins is a TV show created by Lion Television (All3Media) for Challenge in the UK and Casino and Gaming Television in Canada. The show revolved around ten contestants, five British, five American, as they took a two week crash course in poker at Las Vegas. As each contestant are set Fear Factor/Survivor-like tasks, each evening ends with a poker tournament, and a contestant getting eliminated from the series. This can alternate between an American and a Brit. The series originally ran for 10 episodes in August 2005.
I'd like to give thanks to contestant "Louise" for sending me her home-recorded tapes of the show to digitise. Being a relatively obscure series, and having spent nearly three years of my own looking for episodes I am very delighted that the outcome of this went so well. 9 of the 10 episodes are on these tapes, I am only missing Episode 10 which was the Vegas Virgins champion going up on the high rollers table for a $15,000 cash prize. Two of the episodes are also incomplete. Still though, this is a huge achievement and I'm happy that most of this series can now be preserved.
If anyone has any directions to the missing episode / more information on the show, do let me know!
