Sky Replay in the UK closed down earlier this morning, marking the end of 23 years broadcasting in various forms. It initially acted as a sister channel to Sky One called Sky One Mix, before being renamed to Sky Mix (pre-2023), and then Sky Two. They carried the Two name for 15 years before rebranding in 2020 as Sky Replay, this would then act as a catchup service to Sky Max and Sky Witness.
As catch-up channels become dormant to the likes of streaming services and on demand being prioritised, this 7-day catchup method was later abolished. Mainly what you could find on Sky Replay were repeats of older / cancelled Sky originals, plus acquisitions carried over from Flextech / Virgin Media Television.
They closed at the end of an episode of 6ixth Sense with Colin Fry, originally made for LIVINGtv and shown on Sky Replay at 5:30am. They then broadcast "The Cinema List" before displaying a notice that the service was no longer available.
