Animals right now are being transported to their deaths. Yes, in smouldering heat. Yes, to be gassed. But the fundamental framework that views them as objects means horrific things will happen to them. Because it’s horrific to be objectified by someone else. This is somehow normalised and legalised. As someone who criticises animal exploitation in any form, there is a misconception that there is a right way to exploit an animal. There isn’t.
