I get that he doesn’t want to talk about the consequences to getting that egg and just talk about the egg itself, but there are direct consequences to animals to get it. We’re removing all context and then asking what’s wrong with it - that doesn’t give a full picture. In fact, your description reads ‘completely avoiding eggs because it came from an animal? It doesn’t make sense’. Well maybe it doesn’t make as much sense because we’re extracting and throwing out the context.
