Vegan food in Taiwan and this time, we’re at Hoshina! We’re expanding beyond vegan ramen, which is a common offering in a lot of cities, to vegan udon which is the first we’ve found on our travels. Hoshina is super busy, so make sure you have reservations or else you will need to wait, although it seemed most people dined quite quickly. They have an English menu and you scan a QR code to order. We each ordered a set lunch and the meal came with tempura, small sides dishes and a drink or dessert. For our mains, we had the udon pot and the tomato udon and on top of that, we ordered a side of popcorn tofu. While we were eating, we realized Hoshina doesn’t use any garlic or onions, so that may sway you one way another on whether you want to try this place. The extra bonus on eating at Hoshina is that they have a sister bakery right next door called Yiihotang where we bought a ton of vegan pastries!
