Latest Vector beta software 12.46 (firmware 2.51) includes an update to enable Mountain Mode RTH for fixed wing aircraft (previously only available for multirotors).

When RTH is triggered, it will climb from current altitude to that plus normal RTH altitude, and then fly home. Once it comes inside the Home RTH radius, it'll drop to Home RTH Altitude.
