Bunch of firemen dropped by at the end of a MultiGP event, and wanted to see what a 70mph quad looked like, so I set up a couple sets of passenger goggles and took em for a ride. Flight was
a little bumpy because the wind was blowing about 15-20mph. Most of the speed runs were crosswise to the wind.
These Gemfan 5x5x3 props have a thick hub, with a really smooth transition into the blades. They're very quiet (about half the volume of the Vortex's stock Gemfan 5045's), very fast and grip hard in the turns. However, if you push em, they burn a lot of current. A mile above sea level in 15% thinner air, I'm pull over 65 Amps at full throttle. At sea level, that's going to be around 80.
