On 8th May 2020 at the War Memorial outside St. Mary’s Church, Moreton in Essex. Rolf Bassnett, Leader of the 1st Moreton & Fyfield Scout Group read out the names of Scout and Scout Leaders from the locality and other places in Essex that sacrificed their lives while on Active Service during World War Two. The reading was followed at 11am by Two Minutes Silence in remembrance of the dead. A St. Mary’s Church bell tolled at the end of the ceremony.
